About me

Hi, I’m Anna

I live on the southern coast of England with my husband and daughter. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and am currently working part-time with the NHS. The experience of becoming a first-time parent introduced me to new challenges, particularly sleep deprivation, which motivated me to pursue training as a certified Sleep Consultant.

When my daughter was 6 weeks old, my journey into the world of sleep began. She had started out as a peaceful newborn sleeper, who only woke for two feedings per night, but soon became restless with gastrointestinal issues and an unhappy disposition.

During those first months, I grappled with guilt as I sought answers, which ultimately led to a diagnosis of a cow's milk protein allergy. As my daughter's symptoms began to subside, so too did her sleep issues.

The period of improved sleep was short-lived, as new challenges soon arose, plunging us back into the cycle of disturbed sleep from multiple night wakes, early morning wakes and sleep associations of rocking to sleep and replacing the dummy when it fell out. In an effort to understand sleep needs, wake windows, and routines, I spent extensive hours researching online and reading books. However, the available information proved to be contradictory and confusing.

I was completely exhausted and confused at that point. To be the kind of parent I aspired to be, I desperately needed to get proper sleep. I needed guided support to achieve to this goal.

Support from a sleep consultant proved to be the best decision for our family's health and well-being. Within just a few nights, we were enjoying our first full night's sleep since our daughter was born. We never turned back from the transformation that gave us back our evenings, our relationship, and our energy levels.
